2020 Sir Herbert Orioha Scholarship for Students from Awo-omamma

Awo-omamma Development Forum (ADF) announces a call for the fourth edition of the Sir Herbert Orioha scholarship for university and polytechnic students from Awo-omamma. The 2020 edition, just as the 2017, 2018 & 2019 edition, is wholly-financed by an illustrious Awo-omamma son Sir Herbert Orioha and implemented by ADF.

Sir Herbert while announcing the 2020 edition reaffirmed his commitment to assist indigent students to achieve their career objectives. He re-emphasized his willingness to sustain the scholarship opportunity for a lifetime as long as God’s providence is available to power it. In 2018, Sir Herbert increased the number of awards from 3 to 4 and awarded scholarships to four university students in the 2019 edition. For 2020, he has extended the scholarship to include four polytechnic students, bringing the total number of annual awards to eight.

Scholarship Award

The scholarship will award a hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to each selected university student and fifty thousand naira (N50,000) to each selected polytechnic student with consolation prizes awarded to all the applicants.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to only

  • 100level (first year) students of an accredited Nigerian university or polytechnic.
  • Either or both parents must be from Awo-omamma.

Requirement and Application

  • Attestation letter from HOD or dean.
  • School or JAMB admission letter.
  • Letter of identification from Eze or clergy from Awo-omamma.

Screening Test

Screening holds on Saturday, 4 April 2020, at Deklass Hotel Isieke, Awo-omamma. Time: 9 AM.

You are expected to come to the screening hall with calculators and writing materials. Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are not allowed into the exam venue.


ADF pays WAEC fees from students from Awo-omamma

ADF Registers WASSCE for 10 Indigent Students in Awo-omamma

Awo-omamma Development Forum has identified and paid complete fees for 10 indigent students from Awo-omamma to partake in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), a standardized test for senior secondary finals administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

In 2018, Sir Herbert increased the number of awards from 3 to 4 and will be awarding four scholars in the 2019 edition.

ADF SHOF Scholarship for University Students from Awo-omamma

 

Sir Herbert Orioha presents 2018 edition of SHOF scholarship for indigent University students from Awo-omamma. The 2018 edition, just as the 2017 edition, is managed through Awo-omamma Development Forum (ADF). Sir Herbert while announcing the 2018 edition reaffirmed his commitment to assist indigent students to achieve their career objectives. He emphasized his willingness to sustain this scholarship opportunity for a lifetime as long as God’s providence is available to power it. He also announced that the 2018 edition will provide scholarship for four indigent students from Awo-omamma which means an increase from three in 2017.

Scholarship Award

The scholarship will award hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to each selected student totalling N400,000 disbursement.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to only

  • 100level (first year) students of an accredited university.
  • Students from Awo-omamma.
  • Indigent students.

You are expected to come to the screening hall with pen, pencil, paper and eraser. You can take four figure table. Phones and calculators are not allowed.
